1. Acceptance of these terms
These terms govern the use of this website and the purchase and use of licences for the WP Secure Lite plugin (“the plugin”). By buying a licence or using the plugin with one, you accept these terms. If you do not agree, do not complete the purchase.
2. Licence to use
WP Secure Lite is a security plugin for WordPress. Its code is distributed under the GNU GPL version 2 or later, and these terms do not limit the rights that licence gives you over the code.
What you buy is a service licence that, while it is valid, entitles you to:
- Activate the plugin on the number of sites in your plan: 1, 20 or unlimited.
- Receive plugin updates.
- Receive technical support by email.
Each activation is one standalone WordPress installation; multisite networks are not supported. You can move the licence to another site by deactivating it on the site where you no longer use it.
3. Prices, payment and invoicing
Prices are shown in US dollars (USD) and can be paid monthly, yearly or as a one-off lifetime payment. Depending on where you are, applicable taxes may be added at checkout.
Purchases are processed by Freemius, which acts as the authorised reseller: it takes the payment, issues the invoice and handles refunds. We never see or store your card details. You can review your purchases, invoices and licences in your Freemius customer account.
We may change prices at any time; changes do not affect periods you have already paid for.
4. Renewals and cancellation
Monthly and yearly licences renew automatically at the end of each period, with the same payment method, until you cancel. Cancellation is done from your Freemius customer account, at any time; the licence stays active until the end of the period already paid.
The lifetime licence is paid once, does not renew and keeps the right to updates and support for as long as the plugin is offered.
If a licence expires or is cancelled, the plugin keeps working on your site with everything it had, but stops receiving updates and support until you renew.
5. Money-back guarantee
We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee from the date of purchase. If within that time the plugin does not suit you or you have an issue that cannot be resolved, you can request a 100% refund.
The guarantee is requested and handled through Freemius, from your Freemius customer account or through the contact details in your purchase email. Freemius processes the refund to the original payment method and, once refunded, the licence is deactivated.
6. Updates and support
Updates are delivered through the Plugins screen of your WordPress, like any other plugin, and can be installed automatically.
Support is provided by email at support@wpsecurelite.com, on business days and within a reasonable time. It covers installing, configuring and using the plugin, and any bugs you find in it. It does not include custom development, cleaning already compromised sites beyond what the plugin does, or issues caused by other plugins, themes or the hosting.
7. Permitted use
When using your licence you agree to:
- Not share, resell or publish your licence key.
- Not use updates or support on more sites than your plan includes.
- Not use the plugin, this site or support for unlawful purposes or to harm others.
We may deactivate a licence used in breach of these terms.
8. Limitation of liability
The plugin significantly reduces the security risks of a WordPress site, but no tool can guarantee complete protection. It is provided “as is”, without warranties that it will prevent every attack or work without interruption in every environment.
You are responsible for keeping backups of your site and for reviewing what the plugin reports before applying changes. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect damages, loss of data, revenue or business arising from the use of the plugin, and our total liability will not exceed what you paid for your licence in the 12 months before the event giving rise to it.
Nothing above limits the rights granted to you by applicable consumer protection law.
9. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the laws of the United Mexican States. For any dispute, the parties submit to the competent courts of Mexico, without prejudice to any rights you have as a consumer where you live.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The current version will always be on this page, with its last-updated date. Changes apply from their publication and, for licences already bought, from their next renewal.
